ok. I'll be the first one to comment
Before opening the tab, I looked at it and it looks good with the favicon selected
then, about the design...
Header:
The image on the left of POKER-FOR-ME•COM needs to be sharpened a bit
and try thinking of a better slogan, something catchy

Then for the text with strategy+discipline, try making it glitter and add some inner shadow and outer glow
it would look much more better
and last, for the right sidebar, try choosing another color

That's all from me

I don't wanna be "Capt. Obvious" here, but your site needs more of a Casion/Poker touch. Work with colors that people usually associate with the element of poker. The green felt, cards, chips, utilize your backdrop and work images into it. The banner needs to transport what your site is about, same goes for your logo and favicon. Basically, you do have quite some design work left to be done. You should aim for your site to be visually self explanatory, while your content is the "icing on the cake".

Lighten your content up with a few visuals, something for the user to associate with.

Good luck and may all your hands be live and your pots be monsters. (I'm watching WAY too much poker on tv.)

Well, I guess since it's a mini site, your sole purpose in developing it is to monetize it.

I recognize the template from OpenWebDesign; I highly recommend that you use a different one with a more poker-pertinent theme. The template you are currently using, although convenient for Adsense blocks, is way too professional for the content you are aiming for, and the layout makes it virtually impossible to stick in any poker icons or poker chips to convey the theme.

I recommend that you switch to a dark theme that has poker connotations, and it shouldn't be that hard. Just copy & paste the content over, and you'll have no problem. Feel free to resubmit it with the new theme, and we'll give you some better pointers.

Hi bodiby
Great advice from the guys above, explained it realy well.
Definitely consider changing the header, with some black, dark grey and a some green colors etc, if you cannot upload pictures of Poker table and cards for example.
Also i guess the Amazon, ads change and not always relevant, when i changed to the news page etc i noticed keepfit/health ads ? They didn't add to the experience or give helpful info etc.
Maybe also Add and highlight - Keywords near the top of the page, as people get tired of scrolling down pages, ok

Best of luck ( your still better than i am at developing

Thanks everybody. I was not totally happy with it, but wanted input from more experienced people.

I am going to save the template for something else and find use was a different template. I am am not that good with the CSS thingy so changing all the colors and backrounds would take forever.
