Please test out my new site/service. Please let me know what you think of the site and the idea itself. Do you think people will really use the service?

It's designed to allow you to get a free temporary email address that only lasts 24 hours and forwards all email to your current address. So you can do a link submission, or give the new email address to other untrustworthy places and rest assured that after 24 hours they'll never be able to send you any spam, but for the next 24 hours you will be able to verify the address if needed.

I don't see how this project is valid. I just hit the spam button when there's something that doesn't belong into my inbox. Unless you're able to show me in a very convincing way to give you my email address, why would i sign up for a list that may not bring anything of what you're assuring me. Show some pictures or a video walk through of your email, welcome screen, inbox, etc. Explain why your system works and what differentiates you from everyone else. Ultimately, if i don't see a benefit for me, as the consumer, you're not going to get me to your site another time. Meaning, you have one shot to get your project across. This starts with the design of your site. It's generic, doesn't have any bells and whistles to it, no logo, no FavIcon, nothing that would even remotely give you an individual and/or customized touch.

There's a ton of work for you to do.

I actually might use this someday. I don't really care for spam, since gmail and other major email services now do a very good job filtering it out, but there are sometimes that i would like to use a temp email address, and not be bothered with creating a whole new account. So this would come in really handy.

It really is a great unique idea that I thing could take off.

I kinda like the design of the site too. however i wish it had a better more catch logo, which im sure you will design as time goes on.

The webpage doesn't exactly exude confidence. Pretty plain. Needs to look more professional IMHO.

Thanks guys. Your suggestions are great. I know the site needs a lot of work, but the backend functionality was the hard part. I'll try to work on making it look a little more professional as time goes on.

You might want to check out guerrillamail they do something similar, while their site is vanilla it might give you some further ideas. are you using the same script from gentle source?
