Help The Homeless - Holiday 2009 Help The Homeless - Holiday 2009 Help The Homeless - Holiday 2009 Help The Homeless - Holiday 2009
Where to start? Your banner/logo is practically not visible, it's melting with the gray background, doesn't stand out or work in your favor by conveying your message or what you actually do.
The cookie cutter template that you chose is also not representing you well. It's not providing a contrast - white background, blueish while frame - too light.
The news ticker with your recent projects is "ok" however the projects that run through are fuzzy and are in desperate need of a sharper appearance. Also, when i looked through your projects, they generally look better than your own project.
You have some good ideas, especially represented by the work you've done for others, bring some of these ideas back to your own page.

Dude, don't get me wrong but start learning some CSS and XHTML. Also u might take a look on color theory and perception because u have many mistakes in ur designs. I do not want to discourage you but those type of designs were used 6-8 years ago. It is a very competitive domain and if u want to live long I suggest u should start researching.

This design definitely brings me back to the "e/n" days, this looks like one of those, rather than a web design firm.
Ditch the pixel fonts!
Keep practicing with your techniques, play with some gradients and different colors that work well.
If anything for a simple improvement, the header image in my opinion seems as though it is trying to "do too much". There is too much going on, a much more simplistic, easier on the eye, header would be much nicer!

Peace!
