Thumbs up [LiveEarthBlog.org] Live Earth Concert Environment Blog Review

Site: http://www.liveearthblog.org

Type of site: It's a blog about the upcoming Live Earth concerts.

What I'm after: Reviews about the layout and navigation and ways to make it more appealing. I've done a bit of SEO, third on Google for 'Live Earth Blog'

What I'm not after: "This site is spam!" "I hate oranges!" "How many links are there?" "Mac or PC?"

I appreciate all reviews - and am looking for more bloggers!

Great Tagline: 9 Concerts, 2 Billion People, 1 Earth! <- very nice!
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/332201-liveearthblog-org-live-earth-concert-environment.html

Navigation is like with any other blog, proven ease of use and intuitive moves.

A few improvements that i believe are important:

1, you're capitalizing on the upcoming concert, yet your countdown timer is tiny. i'd make the timer a focal point, work with the time line - the closer the concer - the more hype should be created.

2, your favicon is better than your site design - in terms of tie back to the topic. There's no indication, other than reading, what your site is about. There should be an earth theme. Whether thats NASA satellite pictures or other pictures from the surface of our planet. In order to get the most effect, you're going to have to show the contrast between beauty and destruction. Not to create fear - but to create awareness.

3, Embedded videos would help. YouTube has a gazillion of WWF, Al Gore and other "save the planet" videos. Invite users to find the best "bit" and link to it.

that's it for now. best of luck!
