I like it, but avoid terms like "us" and "we" if it's just a personal portfolio...

--Pros--

I love the header image.. it demonstrates a value of creativity and skill. The colors also seem to go well with your layout. Your layout also seems to use a variety of gradients, inwhich i feel are essential to every layout..

--cons--

I feel that the nav section of the layout's text is a tad to big. Try like 14pt, maybe even 12.
