Could I get my site reveiwed

I've had some work done to update the code, then I went ahead and mussed it all up myself to give it that lived in by a PPC'r feel.

I'd be happy to hear what my fellow NP'rs feel about it; good, bad, otherwise. Rep ++

THANKS!

The front page is nice, but i would put another ad right below the Navigation menu to get better click thorugh's.

why is Moving Estimates and Moving Tips & Articles both left aligned while the main page is center aligned?

the space before the Current Moving News section is too much i almost dont notice it.

I would give the site a 5/10

Regards

1) larger header
2) navigation: needs more consistency with font colours and background highlighting.
3) rss feeds: you have a bit too many. i understand that you need some on each page, but try to cut back on them.
4) y!ads: you can afford to move another skyscraper under the navigation for the tips/articles page. also, more prominent subheadings would be nice so that it breaks up the tips/articles page, which will make it easier on the eyes.
5) link the picture on the homepage to uShip, similar to the link below.

overall it seemed to have started with a simple and clean design, but a bit of formatting and removal of feeds will clean it up a bit more.

Alzheimer's
I'd say the main page looks nice.

It could do with a little more work though. Such as the current moving news. The blank space above that is WAY too much. I've only just noticed it after scrolling down otherwise I wouldn't have known it was there if I was not reviewing your site.

Ithink the news would be better off on a page of it's own and just leaving the front page like it is minus the news.

Also having an ad below the navigation (making the border the same as the navigations border and also the background colour) should get you more clicks because it blends in with the navigation and some people won't even recognise that it's actually an ad.

I'd rate your site 5/10.

Not bad for a mini site, yet still just a mini site. i think you could give the site a lot more value by working on the logo and reshaping it more into a site that truly caters to movers. News about moving, sample of moving quotes, etc.should be more prominent and visually better presented. I'd consider the information about moving a lot more viable than the adsense box. Have you considered contextual advertising rather than just using the traditional adsense box?

The moving estimates page is overshadowed with google ads, i'm sure there is a more subtle, yet still effective way to do it; u-Haul affiliate would eventually generate some cash for you.

Generally, all the pages look rather bland and don't offer much visual entertainment, i'd consider roadmaps, who/where are the best moving services per region, customer testimonials, moving services ratings, etc.

While i see the purpose of a mini site, when you're already there and program the site, might as well make it a full site.

As a starting point: 1/3

Thanks for the comments so far. I've made some changes to the homepage based on your comments.

Regarding the rss feed on the hompage, I don't want it prevelant. I am using it strictly for the fresh content. I want to keep visitors on my site rather than sending them off to a non paying site.

Thanks for your commnets, too, gjsys. This is just a mini for now. I have been inspired by some of your suggestions of credibility / content. I may put up some of my sample estimates and other docs with review. Ultimately, however, this is going to be a lead generator.

...and that's essentially what it should be, but in a more "concealed" version, more as a guide, a site where people would want to come back to and refer others to it because of the contents, guidance, ideas, and such. At the same time you're still generating leads, hopefully even more leads than before, simply based on the perception of the user.
It's all a question of packaging, which i know you have no problems with.
