Okay, I've been toying around with the site, mostly with the Voting interface and I am intereted in any comments you may have.

I'm still uncomfortable with the comments bit for each vote... but I don't know. Maybe people WANT to comment.

Any reviews would be helpful.

Hmm,...interesting idea, interesting concept and execution.

I like the voting idea, the comment box is quite alright, many people don't just want to push the vote button but also want to tell/explain why they pushed the button.

I like the clear design of the site, although the tabs (topic, etc.) seem to be in non-working condition at this time.
I'm not sure what the source of your photos is, consequently you're probably looking for amateur/surfer submitted pictures, which brings me to the point where i think you need to give user that submit the opportunity to say something about the picture when it pulls up. (See large version of the pic...)
The about me is probably going to open another screen which side tracks the user from the essential piece that drives your site - the voting. Let the user comment to their own pictures and include this in the voting. (just my suggestion)
The loading time is also quite speedy. If you plan on having users with accounts to upload pictures you're going to have to give them the opportunity to actually log in, right now i could only guess which button that would be. Make the log in button prominent and entice the user to log in or register.
other than that, the return content is given since its users that submit their pics and others that vote. maybe you can step it up by one and add a blog to it.
all in all, from what i can see so far, i like it. although, i am sure you're not quite done yet.
