Well, so far you have a forum with generic skin, a logo in the top left and that's about it. The logo is a bit fuzzy, and needs some design work done to be more detailed, and actually deliver the subliminal message as to why your forum is "friendly". (i don't mean you should include a smiley face, though )

Skin the forum to be a bit more custom and include something that provides content for users to come back to, stretch the boundaries a bit, ask yourself;
Why, other than the responses to Your post - or You responding to someone else's thread, why would you come back to the Friendly Forum. Is friendly enough or should there be more intriguing content...?

Move the PayPal donation link to a different place, unless your forum is primarily set up to get donations, the PayPal button is a bit too dominant, it's more prominent than your actual logo in terms of position on the screen.

Shoot us another link once you implemented a bit more and moved things around.
