The background stands out more than the actual content. I don't understand what the site is about, consider putting a description of it on the homepage. The logo is nonexistent, it's just a basic design from any photoshop tutorial.

I guess its to pay to put your content on someone else's site? That could be a good idea. But in order for it to work well for the advertisers, and to keep them coming, you need traffic, and to have the advertisement the MAIN part of the site. right now, the background and the header are FAR to overpowering for the site's purpose. They are a nice header and footer, but not for this site. Consider making the header thinner (height wise) and maknig the background just a neutral color to draw more attention to the advertisement.

very dominant backdrop, take the backdrop with a little more low key and don't overshadow the main message. which gets to say, what is the main message?

Present your content with a bit more explanation, find your target group and cater to them. Use a more "glamorous" shot of the magazine. the one you have looks wore out and handed down.

the idea itself, from what i gather, is not bad, just needs to really be presented. you're on the right track,...just sit back and think about who you're catering to and what you think they'd expect to see...then help them make a decision by presenting to their needs.

That's actually one of the ads, not an integral part of the site. Thanks for your coments though!
