I am not a designer, but I have been known to masquerade as one from time to time.

The logo was designed by a member here in the "contests" section.
The messaging script is by Eric (secondversion).

I think everything else is unique.

It does, however, look kinda boring to me, and I know I need "more" to keep things alive.

Anyhow, looking for feedback before I take it too much further and end up with something I just can't use

i think the image/font is too large that is why the page looks boring. you may try to resize the image/font to 50 to 60 percent.

For clarification: you mean the font of the "slogan" , or the font used in all other pages?

I'm guessing he meant that your logo image is too big.

You should make your website look a bit more vivid, at the moment it's way too minimalistic, mechanical in a sense. Add some color. Maybe some different color or background to both the left and right edges of your page.
