![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey, It just looks too boring as complicated. 2 colours only? The purple is just too "lets distract you from the content", it's too bright, and there's too much of it. The subforums? The way they are laid out, with that odd background there makes the site look more cluttered. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/231002-thehostmarket-find-your-host.html The sidebar looks too crammped up, also, maybe change the forum icons to standard ones, all those different icons make the forum look very messy. Also, the footer, why is it there? Lol, it may seem odd, but, i see a big pinky purple bar, with nothing in it, and a redline on the top, just looks too out of place. Also, maybe remove the debug information? We don't really want to look at it do we? ![]() Adrian

![]() | Personally, I like the design. Purple isn't a very good choice for colors. The default forum skin usually isn't a bright, distracting color. I would suggest a dark blue, green, or even grey-scale, depending on what you think looks best. Purple isn't bad though - if a member wants to use it, let them choose it as an option. And don't worry about the footer. It's a bit large (in height) but as long as it goes with the layout, having it doesn't visually take anything away. In fact, users used to forums are probably acustomed to a footer being there. |

![]() | I also don't like your colors. That purple is so horrible (sorry). Blue would have look much better than the purple. You have add a section for reviews of each one of the most popular hosts. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Website Design Review Site: TheHostMarket Domain: http://www.thehostmarket.com/ All Ratings are out of 10... Website Domain - 8 Appearance and Design - 7 Navigation and Accessibility - 8 Activity, Popularity and Marketing - 7 Originality - 7 Loading Times - 7 Quality of Content - 6 Features and Interactivity - 7 Visitor Rating - 7 Overall Rating - 7 Detailed Analysis As many of the members above have commented, they don't like your use of purple. My opinion? I don't mind the colour purple, as it isn't used a lot on websites, however, I don't feel it is the right colour to use on this type of forum. I feel a darker blue would suit your forum best. The icons [forum markers] are excellent, and blend in well. The purple links can easily be mistaken as visited links as well. On the bright side [Pun intended], you have a really nice layout. Everything is straight forward, and in order. For your introduction content box, make the markers proper bullet points. The green colour font for the 'Yesterday' text is a bit bright. For the time being, certain forums should be subforums until they expand. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=231002 As your forum is not that active yet, I suggest some competitions to get the forum going. Your affiliation system is good, just need to aim at your target market. And on a small note, get your site a favicon and possibly a professional logo. Your site design review doesn't have many faults, just need the forum activity to strike. Good luck. Review by Anthony Lieu.
