It's vivid, unique and creative but not distracting in a negative way. Admirable work. - The logo is simple, but to-the-point and very sleek. It exudes professionalism in my eyes. You even used the gradient effectively in the INTERVOLT title! Well done. - I like how you condensed the layout to fit 66% of the page. It looks professional, it doesn't take up inane amounts of space, and it gives exposure to the wonderful background. The content is also divided up in a less common but still organized fashion. It's good to see that web designers do think outside of the box when designing their websites. - The color scheme is impressive as well. It's great to see that you used multiple hues of blue and light-blue mixed with a slight tinge of green. Even the bits of greeny-yellow font are convincing in this layout. Great coloration. Also, the skin is consistent because it doesn't use 50 different hues of colors - thank you for not overwhelming my eyes. - The font? Used by many, but still perfect for this layout. I like how you used small font sizes throughtout the site [I prefer smaller fonts with my websites, so now you'll know why I praised your use of them]. - Content-wise, I can't really comment because that's more objective. But from the looks of it, you seem to have a healthy amount of relevant content. It's good to see content on a website. - Suggestions? I suggest you darken the copyright line at the bottom because it seems slightly faint on the background. Other than that... Overall, it exudes professionalism and creative genious. Kudos to you for your skill, effort and (possibly) patience. Well done. Last edited by Man In The Box; 08-16-2006 at 03:46 PM. |

The graphics are all credited to the brains behind the operation, Jeff Saxon of www.jeffsaxon.com . He truly is a genious when it comes to designing web pages. We are excited as we dive deep into the webdev world, we hope to please our clients as much as we pleased you. Thanks again for your feedback and comments, drop us line whenever! Some blueish white elements in the fonts, i understand the train of thought here, however, the blues merge and are not as clearly to separate as they should be. Deliver some spark with a bit more color, or even just more "explosive" blue fonts. -> add more aggressive coloring or shading If a website promotes something that points towards voltage, from a user's level, i'd expect to see lightning, flowing current, energy. the page is static. To deliver the energy that the company name promises, you're almost required to add flash elements to the page, moving/animated content. Nothing too fancy, a stylish element, integrated in subtlety should do. The lightning on the left top would be the perfect element for this. Blue lightning would integrate into the page's design yet add that element of dynamic and be flashy enough to attract eyeballs and generate a memorable effect. -> add movement/dynamic Web maintenance, web development, etc. are non functional items, that i would expect to lead me to content, and even its just a page that i could also reach through the nav menu. -> add functionality The text font is a bit small, i'm on 1900x1200 17" laptop and even though i have 20/20 vision, i have to consciously focus on the writing. Change up the font size, make it easier to read, after all it's not just your designs but also your text that's delivering your services. -> think about font size Very fast loading times, great job there. Overall, there is not much to do to improve the site and give it a more entertaining and visually stimulating look. If you feel the review is useful, rep is appreciated

| New Member | HI nice design but as you are in the business of webdesign I must point out a few code errors in your site.I feel as a web designer myself that a designers site MUST be 100% checked and verified by w3c, some of your customers will demand cos they do of me. So many ppl use FF nowdays and also the little validator plug in that checks sites as they load, I know I check out my competitions and thier sites every week and I see soo many mistakes. The first mistake I find in your code is the fact that your for some reason declaring the DOC type twice ..you have two sets of META data. Also your not closing tags correctly..sure most browsers understand the /> for everything but its not strict code. This is a part of your Meta data.. <META NAME="Author" CONTENT="sales@intervolt.net"> Your not even closingthe tag with a /> This is incorrect, the proper and strict way of doing it would be.. <META NAME="Author" CONTENT="sales@intervolt.net"/meta> Also I must say that if your a design company and serious about code..why is your site built entirly out of tables? These days this is seriously bad form for a designer, I woudl think that I would lose work not gain work from this design cos someone looking for a site that is pure CSS and validates 100% would just close your site and move onto the next one on the list. My two cents, Marky |
