AIDS/HIV
Hello Marknf5,

The site is cool and unique as far as i know it
and has some good looks to offer, but the page is too jumbled up

I think it would be better if you can put some more space between all the listings on the frontpage

The color scheme, graphics and logo are superb and has some other nice touches

Regards,

Well, I like it. It might seem a bit crowded, but for this topic I cannot imagine it to be otherwise. Nice design. I also think it's kinda unique. Didn't see the layout elsewhere. nice job on that. Keep us posted on the development

- It's a decent layout, markfn5. It's unique (I like the page tabbing you set up), and not overbearing color-wise.

- Your logo is decent, but read the next section to see what I have a problem with.

- The problem? Those borders around all of the content boxes and the logo. If I were you, I would get rid of them, or at least tone them down to a very thin border. They make the site look busy, crowded, when it doesn't need to be. Please consider this - these borders are distracting.

- I don't know if that is Verdana or not, but the font is okay. It serves it's purpose - overly-used mind you, but effective nonetheless.

Overall it's above par, but please keep my suggestions about the borders in mind. Other than that, good work and good luck.

Looks good. I was not able to submit new title though.

Plus I would recommend to match some colors. It is not looking as if the colors which are used are matching properly. But it is just my personal view. You maybe liking this color scheme

Thanks.

Well to be honest im very disappointed...

First things first, the design... as its been mentioned the borders arent good. They make the site design look like its taken from a Template website.

Also it seems like everything has been cramped into a small space... youre not making the most of the space on the page. Far too much info in a small area.

When I clicked the 'Browse' tab again I was disappointed... I was expecting some sort of directory layout so I could easily navigate to where I want to go (im aware you have this type of navigation to the left) however... I just dont get what im viewing when I click this tab. At a quick guess it looks like the software with the most 'Hits' - so why not make this section 'Popular Downloads' ?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=227660

You search engine is really poor... I searched for the following software using the terms I quote here and got 0 results on each.
"MSN", "ICQ", "AOL", "AVG", "download accelerator"
- On the frontpage was a piece of software linked called "WinCleaner Memory Optimizer" so I searched for "WinCleaner" and again no results... I ever tried "wincleaner memory optimizer" which is a copy/paste but then made it all lowercase and no results. You literally have to search for the software EXACTLY as its saved in your DB... no spelling mistakes & the correct case - this basically makes your search engine useless.

Submitting software doesnt work... says I need to be a business member which is fair enough - but it doesnt tell me how to become a business member, this is crazy.

On the contact page you have miss-spelt "E-Mail Addres" (you need another 's'). Also the border you have for the single line textboxes (email and name boxes) and the multline textbox (message) arent the same, a small thing but something that lacks professionalism.

Also if youre going to compete with the likes of DownSeek.com then youre going to need to add more downloads and perhaps screenshots of the software.

- I hope you dont take offence to my review... im just being honest. Theres no point me saying I think the site is great when I really dont.

Regards.

I have to agree with you, We are going to lose the Navigation menu and place it elsewere.

I can see why the navigation isn't clear.
I now have a drop down selectbox above the browse content it displays the categories, when a categorie is selected a subcategory can be selected:
http://www.filedl.com/software/browse/Design-Tools.html
I will change this.

Jup, I already have keywords attached to every software, The search script needs to search those to. Again you are right.

There are like 1 - 3 screenshots for each software. More downloads yes, I'll better start with fixing the navigation and browsing.
