My first and extremely basic template

http://www.thekumargroup.net/PS/temp1.jpg

Just wanted to give a go at one template, couldn't get something good for the company name logo part, so its a bit blank.

Obviously its not that good, but what would you guys think abt it for a first try?

Thanks a lot

Good first try. Work on choosing nicer fonts for your layouts.

I actually like the color scheme. It's stark but is visually appealing. I particularly like your floating text palette. Two things I would recommend: dump or revise the arrow next to the "News" banner. It's too flat and doesn't add anything visually. Second, reduce the height of the highlight on your button panel above the text. Try about half of what it is now. But that is minor and I hope it doesn't sound like nit-picking. I like the left panel and adding a company logo with the name in the top banner makes this a simple, attractive design. Congratulations.

for your first try, that is awesome... great job, but i just think you need a fotter to tie everything together. and yes, use more apealing fonts, and possibly smaller
