Please critique this site ( http://chateaugc.com/ ) that I started on a few months ago but can't seem to finish.

How are the colors?
Layout?
Does it look professional?

I'm not emotionally attached to it so you may be as harsh as you need be.

Lastly, if you have the time, what would you add or subtract from it to make it better.

i like it a lot, but maybe a tiny bit less yellow/gold.

i like the colors and the layout. it looks professional. i would try to sharpen the title text in the banner and remove the two smallest chateau logos (the one next to the title and the one next to 'welcome')

Nice job, but the graphics look a bit rough, plus there really isn't a bottom to the layout.

Hi Nice site. The only issue I have is the color and the fact that the header seems like a gif instead of a JPG. I think overall the layout works though. It's simple enough for the user navigate. I might consider a more high quality header however.

ok. I'll try to be as harsh as possible.

Usability/Interface Design:
My eyes are drawn away from the center text at first sight.
eyes drawn immediately to logo on right side which is rough.
Where do YOU want people to focus? The center text, the left hand menu, or the right hand quote? Right now the right hand side is drawing attention.

Accessibility:
Black on brown text.
Text spills onto the green and sandtrap. could be issue with even minorly visually challenged.
I can't increase the text size manually through the small-medium-bigger text size settings, which means font sizes are fixed - but I don't see any overriding design reason why.

Other than that I like sites like this one that:
+ a) Does NOT use flash/java applets/etc. gratuitously
+ b) Does NOT use frames for page layout

and the bright green mouseovers on the text doesnt match at all

and make the header bigger, and use a more high quality image....

but i do like the feel alot, and colors are great
