Great Site man !!!
I love it. Just a bit difficult to read: "Web Nexus Development Projects" in green under the logo.

Good work

i like it

my only input is that the menu text on top is a bit small and bland. i wonder what it would look like with the text embedded in the button rather than on it.

yeah, that design is really polished. Everything fits together really well and as a whole it has very good loading times for 56k etc. I can't really complain about anything, as it serves its purpose perfectly.

Thanks everyone, I'll take all the comments on board and see what we can do. The 56k speed was one of the first requirements in the spec for the site - not much point in having a site if the majority of web users can't access it - and I think we worked it out pretty well with most of the readable page appearing before the flash design.

We'll have a look at the other comments and see what we can come up with.

Thanks again for all your comments

good site...nice colors..a bit bland..but professional...the flash animation was extremely un-needed and could be accomplished very easily with layer motion and would speed up your load time tremendously - overall not a bad site tho

very nice site, but one thing. http://www.wndp.com/images/siteimg/nav_about.gif
I'd think it'd look better with that gradient not as choppy, unless you want it choppy for speed.

GinG is an unknown quantity at this point

Pros:

Nice green tips with round endings on the top and bottom of the page.
Smart gradient for menu items.
Nice color scheme

Cos
Logo to be refined.
Flash movie must gain more speed (...put another matching color in it, not only white on green)
Menu system too static (do some type of refined rollover)

keep it up!

Thanks guys.

The flash isn't the best piece of work as far as flash design and loading times go, but thats simply because I'm a very light flash user, and I don't use Flash MX (Can't seem to learn it). I also wouldn't be that big on flash overall.

What do you mean by choppy, Derek?

The reason I didn't do any rollovers on the buttons is because I wanted to keep the page size down. I also think rollovers might be a bit too much for the design.

What do you mean by refining the logo, Franco?

I did have them green bits as shadows, but I wasn't such a big fan of it to be honest, so I changed it to a solid colour. I'm also not big on layouts with shadows around them!

Guys thanks very much for all your feedback - very much appreciated. I'll let Darren answer the questions as he has done above because as most folks will tell you - I can't design for toffee!!

I love the site because

a) it is simple
b) it loads quickly
c) the colour scheme is way different from most of the usual metallic blue sites out there.

The feedback mostly confirms my own thoughts about it and I'm glad you liked it as a whole. Once again thanks all and especially Darren.

What I meant by choppy is in a 102 x 84 px picture, there are only like 10 colors in the gradient. For a normal gradient there are hundreds. Maybe you just did it for speed in loading though. What I also found weird is in a grayscale gradient (black and white colors), there are green, blue and orange.

Hmmm Alright, thanks Derek... I think I understand what your saying... Was I right as saving them as .gif? How could I make the quality of them better? Are the gradient's in the buttons really noticable for you?

maybe you might want to use this. I think the only reason its choppy is because of the colors used.

Mine's still a lil choppy.

Great design you have there. Maybe you should switch to a different font, like Verdana.

the content text is verdana, and I think that the font in the pictures is verdana but with 150% height.

Thanks for the button. I might work with it depending how it looks. Much better.

The font in the buttons is something different. Don't know the name straight off because I'm at work, but I'll maybe try just verdana later.

Thumbs up

nice job! i like the colors and the design is different in a good way. very clean. i agree with earlier posts about trying a new font for the menu text and wndp text under the logo. it looks squished. might also be better w/o the flash animation or just play once and then fade out text.
