Suggestions: * The navbar has a raised look, but the background is flat. Blending the two together does not look natural. A border around your content area could help here. * Too much blue. Try some complimentary colors. * Feels flat. Some patterns or gradients would help jazz it up. Perhaps a Black -> Blue gradient with a diagonal line pattern on the background and block titles would do. Again, I like it, and I feel it has great potential. Just needs a little fine tuning. ![]() HTH. James | |

| New Member | Hmmm it's working for me In response to the gradients and stuff, I did have them on, but removed them to speed up downloads. I might try them again though just with some small gifs, see how it looks again, thanks

| NamePros Member | If you're not using transparency, I've actually found that jpg or png (PNG24 max/PNG8 if using similar tones) yeilds higher quality results in a smaller file size. For gradients, I usually make images that are a max of 10px wide x <desired height>. HTH. James |

| NamePros Regular | Ok, the site is up and working now. I have to agree with the flat feeling. The layout looks great and the color selection is good, but everything just lays on the screen. You need something that makes it pop out a little. If you are going to use the shadow effect, like you have underneath the menu bar, I would use it for other things too. It looks out of place up there by itself while everything else remains flat. Try it on the menu boxes to give them that floating feel. For a web design site I think your header is a little weak. You definitely need something in the background, it could be a gradient or a logo to fill in all that whitespace on the right side. I am by no means a professional web designer. These are just comments from an internet junkie. I've dabbled a little bit in web design, but I mostly use free layouts and tweak them to my liking, so take all my comments with a grain of salt. Best of luck to you, -Rock

| Account Closed | Site review Hi. First of all, the template looks good. The borders and colours seem nice, the banner is beautiful. Second, the content is well-based. Good luck with your site! Overall Rating: 9/10 If you liked my review and comments, you can add rep for me. Regards. |

| New Member | Ok guys I've now added a gradient as suggested, please let me know what you think. Any other improvements that could be made? I like the logo simple though so I'm not going to change that by putting a pattern or gradient or something in the background.

| Account Suspended | The Connection Has Timed Out, is what I initially got. Now it loads. Look into that! The Bad
