Page needs a lift??

Hi,

Have a look at my screen shot, Im designing a page but I think that it needs a bit of a lift. The 2 empty sections on the right hand column will have ads that will be pretty colorful and will give it a bit of character.

Maybe I could do something with the middle column. Im having a bit of a block!, any ideas?

It does need color. You have some nice bright colors in small amounts. Maybe bring those out a bit. You could color your logo too.

Layout review

Hi. First of all, the borders are good. Second, the content is well-based. Third, you might want to colour the layout - all the white bits.

Good luck with your site!

Overall Rating: 8/10

i know what you mean with the colour, it does need that lift. however when the ads go in on the right i think that will help. have a look at the screen shot to see the last draft for an example of the ads. they will be thinner this time around in the new layout.

It has been said to me before that google ads make a site look tacki, do you think this is always the case?

the ads i am going to be including are actually related to the products on the site... i have included sample where the ads will be. it looks cool in 800*600.

I have done a 1024*768 size also which I have attached, see what you think

I note on one of your screen shots that despite what information is actually to be on the page, it contains scroll bars. In my view on a page such as this, everything can be scaled down a fraction without removing any clarity, and hence contain the whole page in most browser settings.
