![]() | Review: eeleaders You designers must have had this happen to you at least once. You make a site for a company, you do the graphics and the content and at the end you are really happy with it, proud of it. You take it to the client who is focused on (let me say this nicely) 'altering it' (though in my mind it feels more like butchering - though I also know it's just business, their site, their image, their money, I'm just paid to do for them). I am only starting the 'alteration' now. Now before getting to the content change Check out: www.eeleaders.com Tell me what you think of the overall look and feel. My emphasis when designing/consulting is always on the 5-10 second rule: web browsers are impatient, they don't have patience as they would when reading a brochure or newspaper, if something looks long they'll just click away from it, if you don't get SOME appeal in 5-10 seconds they are GONE and probably GONE FOREVER. White space, white space, white space. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/205145-review-eeleaders.html Give me a 1-5 on that. Then if you are not bored yet. Compare the index ('home page') content of www.eeleaders.com AND www.eeleaders.com/webmaster Am I right in my contention that the /webmaster version is MUCH better?

![]() | Yeah Sherpas! J/K. The /webmaster version is significantly better. When I looked at the client version, I didn't pay any attention to that right hand column, though with the /webmaster version I did. Just FYI, in Firefox 1.5.0.4, when you mouseover the red text in the /webmaster version, the blue gradient of the header extends all the way to the right of the page and covers the black background very ungraciously. I'm sure it's a CSS thing or some minor compatibility issue and would be easy to fix (if the client wanted the superior version). James College Admissions - My Chances.net

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=205145 I like the look of it. Does she plan on putting adds on the bottom of the page? It looks blank there. | ||||

![]() | ThanX for comments... I screwed up the poll. The vote for names (webmaster or eeleaders was correct BUT the comments were wrong, i.e. webmaster version is better - what's a sherpa, eeleaders is better - more creative) |
