Smile www.jesslester.com What Do You Think?

I have been working on a re-design of my personal site, jesslester.com and just completed it yesterday. Please let me know what you think. The old design is still there for you to see, if you read the paragraph on the main page, or just click here to see the design i had previously. Some people are saying they like the old design better since it is flash, so i would like to know what you think. I think the old design of flash is kind of childish looking. Either way, i wanted a change. All input is appreciated, thanks!

First, I'd change the name of the domain.. I mean, c'mon.. Jess Lester?? Is that a real name or what?

<just kidding!>

Actually I like the original design quite a bit better.. this new one is a wii (as in "wee" (little Nintendo Wii joke)) bit static..

You've got some talent.. I wish I had the patience to learn what you've done.

By the way, go with what you feel comfortable with.. you're creating for yourself first (it's YOUR site) ... once you've got a design YOU like, you'll find it will attract like minded individuals.. it's karma, man

Good luck!

hey, thanks for the compliment on my talent.. yes patience is needed, this is all so time consuming. I agree about the site being static, it is simple and some may say boring, but i like that it is clean and sharp. I would like some more movement in it though. I am sure I will be tweaking it as time goes by.

and oh yes, i am so original with my domain name .

... anyway thanks for the quick response. so far everyone seems to like the old design with flash better. I need to get better at flash, and then ill redo it all again.

hmmm that is odd, all the needed files are there, and so far no one else has mentioned any problems. the site should be up and working fine.

it seems that my page doesnt show when viewed in firefox. I use IE and all is fine. what browsers are you all using? i am not sure why it doesnt show in firefox, i am confused now.. but it must be fixed. any one have any ideas?

I used Swish to make the flash on all the pages, and i have Macromedia Flash Player 8 installed. Is there a compatibility issue with Firefox maybe? What is strange is that the old version made completely of flash works fine in Firefox.. Ugh, i will have to play around and try to figure it out, but any ideas or tips would be very much appreciated, and ill even give you some rep points, hehe.

For the time being, try checking out the site in IE.

Thanks to those pointing out there are problems. I am silly for not checking the site in other browsers to begin with. ... anyway, please help....

Eli - Thank you! the new design of my site has a couple more drawings, if you can see them in a different browser.

It doesn't show in Firefox because Firefox is cr*p, lol.. I think Firefox is vastly overrated.

Sure, it has some good features but I stopped using it because so many sites weren't displaying the way they were intended in Firefox.
