The menu is a bit plain. Overall good colours IMO

Is it for people to get around work firewalls or something?

Also I like the colors but I would like to see the background of the main body lightened up to a semi-grey or a white with blue text.

I like the color scheme but it seems as if you are missing color. It looks too blue. Maybe the inside box should be a different color. I also think you should get rid of all the black on the site. Also, the banner looks too white. Try to tie in some more colors and specialize it a bit. Also, the text is WAY too big.
