review please first website ever

Hey I have been on this forum for about 2 or 3 months now and I am working on a site www.undergroundgameing.com looking for reviews site isnt near done but I wanted to get youre input on what to do I know alot of people here are profesionals with lots of experience so if you all could give me some pointers it would be helpfull.

To be onest you need to work more on site.
I ssuggest you to use Photoshop for logo, banners site in general, Image Ready to cut the site and Dreamwaver to make the html code. Also learn something about css.

The whole ideea of the site is ok.

Hey man I think your site looks good for your first site. We all started out some where. Alot of us just can't jump into Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Imageready like sacx can up there.

Just keep up the good work and the best thing that you can do is just keep toying around with the graphic and code. Do not be affraid to ask for help either. Anyway your first site was alot better than my first site. I had freaking homestead when I first started lol.

I cant get by the fact that gameing is spelt wrong in your domain unfortunatly... I dont think I'd spend the time and effort to develop a nice site on such a name.

To be frank, it's not looking good at all. The menu buttons are out of place, the page is not centrally aligned, the font is erratic and the placement of the ads is bad. You seriously need to do a lot of work on it.

first effort its okay if that, sorry to be harsh but it will help in the long run.

1. Colour theory do a google on it and get some tips.. Black on red doenst work for me and the text links i cant even read on the sub pages. Look up some stuff about css navigation or go to list-o-matic and it will make it for you

2. try to frame the site but a small 1-2px line around the red to so it boxed in or even better put the white where the red it and use the red as the main background instead of white.

3. flash!! do you need it? no so why use it, ok its nice to show you can use it or used some simple flash app to make the banner buts its over kill something static and simple done in photoshop would help.

4. think about the content and layout to help with this look around the net or just read a few magz and papers see what they do and follow the trend on line.

5. adsense try and design it into the page make it work with the design

6. font use arial or verdana as the screen font much easier to read as well online!

as i said its a basic start but keep going, dont let me or any comments put you off just keep going and ull get there, if you want some help or some ideas feel free to PM me and ill help you out or even give you some live tutorials via msn if you want.

Thanks for all the comments did help I know needs lots of work and ive just started learning css so hopefully that will help and is far as the domain goes i have went with this one cause undergroundgaming is owned by my friend who said he would sell but i dont want to spend 100 dollers on a domain till i have the site looking beter so he is just going to save it for me
