A forum... Well, not really.

www.UnitedStatesForum.net

Just finished recoding all PhpBB templates.

I use the PhpBB as a CMS for the news.

All news via RSS...

Nobody Can Post nor Join.

About average of 1,000 post / day.

Search Engines might like it since it has http://unitedstatesforum.net/archive/

Also planning to buy some PR links and advertise to increase the traffic.

What do you think? About 30,000+ Posts/month would get SE attentions?

(Planning to add more feeds to make it 10,000 posts /day.

Thanks,
Rom.

Hobnob is an unknown quantity at this point

If users have to "work" to find the information on a site, they wont be going there too often.
I like the concept, but to make a concept attractive it needs a nice face.

- I feel your navigation needs some work.
I think that you should put the states in a list box, and maybe at the bottom of the page have your individual links (kindof faded into the white so it is not obvious) so that search engines can still pick them up.

- Click on "Iowa".
When I first open one of your states pages up I have a feeling of, "crap, why am I looking at this." You need some contrast between links, but nothing over the top. Try swaping out the background between links, like one can be white and then a light grey or something of that nature.

- Nothing "flows"
It was a big turn off to me when I first looked at your site because it actually took mental power to detirmine individual articles from the long list. You need somthing to 'better' offset each article, wether it be a border, or changing some text color. (There is too much red).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* on a side note *
One of the best things you could do to help search engines is to have link management. For example if you click the link "Missouri" you have: "http://www.unitedstatesforum.net/viewforum.php?f=25". It would be alot better to have: "http://www.unitedstatesforum.net/Missouri/article/25".
- OdditySoftware did this for my site and I get alot more hits now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the review!

I do have friendly URLs at http://unitedstatesforum.net/archive/
Example: http://unitedstatesforum.net/archive...board-3127.htm

I just added <hr> between the topic.
