Fansite Review

Ive been developing a fansite since a couple of months now
I think now, no more changes are required since it looks good to me atleast

If you find some bugs or have to suggest any improvements in terms of usabilty or layout or anything, please do so
Also any SEO/adsense tips would be appreciated...

currently its getting 20-25 unique visitors per day
its no.1 at msn for the keyword "amrita rao" (thts the actress' name)

at 44 in google
and dont know where in yahoo

p.s: I just recieved an email that the site is chosen as Celebrity-Site-Of-the-Day and will be posted on this page on 18th of March, for a full day..

Congratulations for recieveing the site of the day, as it is the domain doesnt really stand out for me, the blocks of a blue are a little dull, perhaps a border or background picture and to me the banner picture looks a little pixelated or bad quality (may be my monitor) but overall its a clean simple site that does its job, good luck

amrita is the first name of the actress..so the domain name amritaworld.com

there is only one blue block on the top-right that says "Amrita Rao News", I know tht looks a bit ugly!
the banner pic looks fine to me though

Congrats oin Site of the Day. To me, not all layouts need to be extremely flashy to be decent since it's the content that counts. I did want to mention though you have a couple of file not founds in your gallery, the first couple of pics. Might want to check that out. Other than that, looks good to me.

sorry, yes i meant the blue block on the top left does look a bit bland and i do agree it doenst look have to look flashy

oh i think it may be my monitor making the banner look a bit quirky, but nice simple site you've got there

I've browsed your other fan-sites in your network. I like the use of the name"world".com.

4 quick points for you:

- I feel that there is far too much text on your homepage. Have less text, have something catchy. Maybe even display news on your homepage.

- You could link the "Pic of the moment" image to your gallery.

- The forums could certainly help the site in terms of repeat traffic. It looks like you've neglected your forum. For example, you have a single sub-forum called "test forum" and a template/skin which says "Your Clan"

- I can't really find a unique selling point for your site - You could certianly use a catchy design and logo. It's important to build a brand. My company owns a design firm, www.designs.pro. If you can afford their services, go for it.

If you are in need of any inspiration, I happen to own a large Hilary Duff fan-site with over 15,000 members at www.juicyduff.com.

yours was by far the best review that ive gotten across 4 forums!

I dont own all the worlds lol, only 2, my friend owns others, though there are other worlds like aishwaryaworld which is not ours!

I will be changing my homepage to point to the news page now.

I dont really have anything as a gallery, am just linking to santabanta gallery...when I get a real gallery for my site, Ill be doin the linking and even a rate the photo kinda thing.

Forums, yes! wil be removing the link, coz there is another full fledged forum for her at another site, and I think attracting and retaining forum members will be a tough job?!

Thanks for the advice, but at the moment, I am not looking for spending anything on the design, not atleast on this site
