request for a review

Hi everybody,

I would really appreciate a review/comments on two webdesigns. The first one my new weblog site, just for personal use and testing some new blogging software. www.nitsol.net

The second one a design one of my colleagues did, I just doing some coding for this one but I feel like something is missing in the design, any suggestions anyone? The Green Lion

The Green Lion website is the better of the two.
It has good design, good layout and I assume on the empty space on the right side, you'll put some adsense/ads...

To me, the first website looks more emptier, it has got a bit too much of whitespace.
