New Website - Hunt Sources

I have just completed the website http://www.huntsources.com. Some of you have offered suggestions on graphic related stuff when I posted in there. But now I feel I have completed the site.

I'd like some opinions on it.

Please bear in mind that I AM aware of the minor programming issue I have in the search of plantations, etc... Basically, instead of making the search return results based on that specific search, it returns everything in the table, regardless of search criteria! I'm working on this.

Thanks,
David

I am going to review your site by giving you positives and negatives of the site and give you an overall out of 10 stars on items of attractiveness, content, and overall.

Positives: There seems to be some extra coding which makes this site better than the normal HTML site. Also I like the fact that I am not bombarded by popups and advertisements.

Negatives: I don't think you should mix so many colors together. You have green, red, and blue. It is quite straining on the eyes. Also, I would recommend to make it less straight colors and make it blend a bit more. The banner also seems to have semi-blotchy look to it.

Attractiveness: 4/10
Content: 7/10
Overall: 5/10

It could still use some work. I like the idea and the coding. If the layout was better this site could easily work its way up to a 7 or 8.

Sorry about the harsh critique.

Thanks for the feedback. I've actually decided, per another critique at a different forum, that I'm going to use exact CSS placement on the banner, and put the banner text in as text, and not as part of the image. (I'll then place the actual image in the background). After I've thought about it, that will probably take care of most of the fuzzy/blotchy issues in the banner.

Ok, I've worked on the header a little, and put it as a background image, with text overlay. I think that took care of a lot of the blurriness of the text. Thanks again for that critique. Anyone else?

your search doesn't work -> tried wisconsin via select and georgia came up.

and cut down the colors, you don't have just 3 colors you have more like 8-10 colors that contrast too much with the colors of the Header/Logo text + color on google sense ad etc
