![]() | complex layouts - borders or no borders ATTACHED LINKS ----------------------------- Site design plan --- "http://www34.brinkster.com/gwx04/layout.swf" Flash part of design ( note : you may need to save to hard disk as there is no preloader yet )----------- "http://www34.brinkster.com/gwx04/preliminary.swf" MESSAGE ---------------- Would love some comments on the proposed site layout. I want something clean, easy to navigate, but still feature-rich and interactive. I've also done about half of the flash part of my hybrid XHTML cum Flash site! Hope u all will give me a honest opinion of which areas I should improve or touch up... I'll take your views into careful consideration. I don't know whether it would be a good idea to add 'image of the day', 'quik quiz' and 'quote of the minute' to the top of the page..? If not, what do you think I should put? Do you think my site layout is cluttered? I'm concerned most particularly of a 'boxed up' feeling. I'll try to take care of that in the flash movie of course as that would be the easiest place to put some curves, graphics and animation. Do you think that I should do a bordered interface or a non bordered interface or a thin bordered interface? A bordered interface is one in which the content is surrounded by a border ( see my sucky design ). That is an example of bordered interface. Another example could be www.websolutionarchives.com, although that was done pretty well and professionally! A non-bordered or a thin bordered interface would be easier to design and probably look better? ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/15725-complex-layouts-borders-or-no-borders.html Any idea or criticism is welcome |

![]() ![]() ![]() | gosh where are the mods, but i suggest posting it in "showcase" You are pretty much asking people to critique it, and if you will notice, all critiquing is done in the "showcase" forums |
