The blue text is a little too light - consider making it slightly darker.

Plus, surley Bidvertiser would have something to say about their TM usage?

Mind out that you don't run into problems with "bidvertiser".

Overall good site, but I don't particularly favour those sites with a white background and loads of text.

I like the logo, but overall I think you need to do something to make it different from all those other link directories out there.

Always ask yourself "What makes yours different?". If you can't find anything substantial, why will anyone come to your site over any other link directory? Make it special, for instance, make a toolbar. I am not sure how you could do that, but it is a great way to keep people using your site. Also, make it more interesting to look at. Every link directory I have been to looks really primitave, with the categories at the homepage, and then links into the categories. Maybe mimick Ebay, with the categories at the side, and then in the middle have "Website of the day" and stuff. Think of interesting things to do. You seem like a good graphic designer, so get some branding images up on your site, maybe get that fat person up around the site a bit more, but in different positions, maybe with different facial expressions.

Breast Cancer Breast Cancer
thanks for the nice feedback and suggestions.

@poordoogie
The directory is on early stage of development, im still stdying the code of phpld, i might consider your suggestion as part of the development in near future. Im thinking of a big sumo wrestler beside the logo, but ican't figure out in photoshop what i want. That sumo i used is a font-style, i just added color to make it more livelier.

About the TM, i don't think so. the big is different from bid. and it's not a typo error, it's another word, another meaning.

Anyone like to comment on the TM ? thanks, very much appreaciated.

Positive: The color scheme is well done. I really like the way you have the blue background. Most link sites are 90% white and it drives me insane. I can say for link sites you are up on most. Most are a quick white page with links. So you are in the top half, but I would agree with PoorDoggie that customizing a lot more would get you more revenue than the average link site.

Negative: I don't like the logo. The logo itself makes me think the site is cheap. It looks like a Word clipart image or something. Also all of the advertisements drive me up a wall. The last thing is the PHP Link Directory. It does not match the site at all. For a matter of a fact, the ads don't either.

Logo: I think that the "big" and the "vertiser" need to be seperated a bit more. They seem to be too close. You don't need to make a big gap there, but they seem more squashed together than the normal text. Ok, the text underneath is a little bit "cheap" but apart from that I really like the logo. I like the sumo face as well, in the logo. I don't think that having a whole sumo wrestler there will make any difference, if only to lower the standard of the site. It also compliments the big "BIG". The text design is superb, and the "shine" is great. You should leave that as it is.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=156998

Can I also mention that I agree with TheComputerGeek by saying that the link directory is not the same as the rest of the site. I like the font you use for the headings at the side, but the rest of the link directory should be the same. "Bigvertiser Web Directory" should be in that font, and the headings should be smaller font, or the normal text should be larger. There is too much contrast.

Regards,
Tom

PS: (Why do you have "Bigvertiser Web Directory" randomly typed above the nav/search bar? It makes the site look tacky. Take it away and the border and just leave the blue bar below it!)

Good Luck
