Smile Please review my site ... ReviewMySite !

Ignoring possible issues with speed (needs a faster server I guess), I wouldn't mind a few opinions on my new site... 'Review My Site'

No matter where I go there's a forum thread (like this one) for reviews, so I've created a site where that thread is the forum

Anyway, let me know what think. I'm happy enough with it for now, but that doesn't mean it can't be improved...

And yes, too right I'm building it up to sell in a year or two

the header is FAR too large, it pushes your content down a lot, almsot off my screen (1024x768).

also, the one random ad you have on the left of your forum, pushes your forum to the right, creating a lot of empty space. id say either fill it or remove the ad

Thanks

Thanks for that...

I've moved the top ads to the footer and took an axe to the heading text. The white space to the left is probably down to Google not displaying, but I intend to replace that column with (cycling) affiliate ads.

Cheers

bquast will become famous soon enough

Well first thing it looks like all you did was change the header to say what your forum is about. Consider you never even touched it design wise I will not be reviewing it.

I have changed and rechanged it several times, inclding adding and removed columns etc, based on feedback from several forums etc. What can I say, you can't please all the people all the time, eh. Anyway...

Aye, neither so I, but I'll not a graphic artist, and the last two artists/companies I tried let me down...

If you designed that style, consider it a compliment that I 'stole' it
It is, of course, the Aphrodite Green style by CyberAlien:

I am actually working on a new template for phpBB, but it I need a spare few days to code it. (New as it, bugger me that's clever, rather than shuffling the tables). But yes, my artistic skills are lacking.

As for the 'our community' logo, I left it there on purpose as I rather liked it myself. I shall try and come up with something better over the next week though.

Thanks again.
