I smell a template. No wait...it is a template. So I guess I'll rate the template (jk).

Nice content. Finally someone who blogs with nice ideas and actual sentences that make sense. No sense blogging by typing ph34r or l00t words...

I like the green banner - nice change from the white. Ads fit in seamlessly and doesn't seem like ads at all.

You might wanna clean up on the "bumper stickers" though - too many makes it look like some freeware linux software download site.

Otherwise, really great site!

while the content is okay, the design lacks class. Wordpress has many fine templates, and you shouldnt have a problem selecting one that is more elegant, less flashy, and more easy on the eyes.

for a good blog "design" (as opposed to a portal design or a corporate website design) have a look at Jeremey Jawodny's blog here ...... http://jeremy.zawodny.com/blog

Yeah I know it "looks" plain...... but the design doesnt get in the way of content and is easy on the eyes; and the content is (usually) great.

I dont like beautiful blogs... just interesting ones.

With picture postcards, the criteria is the opposite (usually)

Not a bad looking site, but there are far too many affiliate/link buttons in the far right in my opinion.

The current headlinner article ( 5 monkeys and Nepal ) on the site is a very true lesson we all need to learn. I don't generally comment on design, but the content is something that should keep folks coming back for more
