I live on this amazing little island right in the middle of the San Francisco Bay and decided to set this website up for the residents as a community resource.
What do you guys think of it overall? i know its pretty sile but i am asking for feedback.
Any other similar sites you know of that are well done that i might want to take a look at?

Not bad. I think the initial screen is a bit dark. Black would be a huge turnoff to many people. I like the image, it is fitting. The forum has a nice style to it but the banner needs to be edited. The text and picture have very grainy edges. Maybe this is because it was saved at a low resolution or a smaller format. Other than that, great work!

I lightened the front page up a bit. Do the graphic still look jagged? they look fine on my computer with a fairly high res monitor

looks ok

the theme of the forum doesnt really convey what the island is all about, it is a bit too techy.

some nice pics there though

thanks.. yeah i have thought about adding a little more island flair to make it less techy.

I think you should cut out the dark colors on the first page entirely, it makes it seem more like a horror movie than a community website. I like the forum, but maybe you could add some more variety of colors, it looks a bit bland right now.

Overall, however, it's ok i suppose.

looks ok, not really fond of the "dark colors" but it's allright. You may also want to remove the splash logo on the first page.
