| Senior Member | Flashcent what do you think of http://www.flashcent.com ? i still want to do something to the newest games and most played games at the top so it'll look better there, but what do you think of it? the newest game and most popular game thing i have in mind is something like black border, black top/bottom and then white sections with gradent (little) and a black line under each section (each section will be like 75 pixels tall and like 300-350 wide) |

| Senior Member | That cacky green colour is disturbing! I would suggest either using a different one or at least use more of it so it appears to be a theme rather than arbitrarily placed there... ![]() Putting the most popular and newest at the top is a good idea, they could use a border around it just to section it off and maintain the theme of the site. |

| Senior Member | i designed the template to be aligned like that, if i center it, the whole left would have no border or anything. This is what it looks like centered (ignore bad quality, didnt feel like opening photoshop, so i opened paint )http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/4599/centered5rk.gif |

| NamePros Member | Still have a container padding issue. The containers need 10px room around it so the text doesn't hang on and over the container (it gives it a book page or a letter page look, and folks are so use to it). The color is a no-no. It's so dark it's hard to make out the logo text. Use a brighter green (or better yellow) if you want to use that color. Best to center the main container as well. Having it alllllll the way on the left with a large monitor, is a looooong reach to get to the links on the left nav panel. CKL

| NamePros Member | Yikes! Just looked at the source and realized the site is at best xhtml 1.0 transitional. Me bad. Just so use to everyone using full xhtml that I got used to expecting it. :/The container would've been the div that contained the content (a wrapper is a div that's used to wrap around the container div for alignment purposes). A standard web page would have 4 div containers (banner, left nav panel, main panel, and footer) within xhtml strict. Part of the problem I see now is that page has no DTD listing like this.... <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> which forces IE into quirks mode and fouls it up, even w3c's validator completely balks at it. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...ashcent.com%2F [Check your code against the validator. HTML-Tidy is even stricter if you really want to scrub your site for increased SEO] Another thing -- there is no cellpadding, which is why the text is right against the TABLE's edge. Are you comfortable with working with xhtml? The reason I ask is, the code is simple enough to convert over to divs only, and ditch the tables (which shouldn't be used for layout. W3C is laying that down hard -- tables are to be used only for tabular data, not aligning images or text). Divs really speed up page loads, and why they're becoming quite popular, too. Once you work in xhtml strict/css, you don't ever want to return to html again. Just plain easier to design pages with. CKL

| NamePros Member | Great site, I love your games. The only problem is the layout, It needs to be centered... ____________________________________ Commercial Printing Company "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." |
