![]() | A critique, please don't take this personally. Is this a rough layout? If it is, it's time to go back to the drawing board. There's some no-no's in the design (like the mouse pointer -- it's a business site and such things get in the way of the content. Personal sites it's fine, but for web hosting the only real flare would be some flash).Business customers need a site, they need to know the plans, and they need to get busy. It's about the flow, and directing the customer to that buy button. Follow the design with your eye, and see how you want to direct the customer (like Home>>FAQ/About>>Plans>>Buy). The quicker the customer can navigate around the site, the quicker he can put the money down. And in business, time = money. Another suggestion: streamline the graphics. Have crisp photos of people that mean business and about business. Just a woman with a nice teeth won't do, the portraits need to have a purpose (as they looking over a spreadsheet? Standing in front of a datacenter? Presenting a Powerpoint presentation?). The images will convey that the host knows about the needs of business. Yes, many folks do get personal websites, but any host knows the money is with business accounts -- and why these web host sites look so corporate. Just some tidbits to gnaw upon. ![]() ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/130339-please-review-this-site.html CKL |

![]() | Keep us posted on how it's going. I find layout being the hardest of all, because there's so many ideas, but one usually can't put all of it together due to space limitations. So quarter to a half of the design gets shelved for another project. ![]() CKL |

![]() | The main thing is getting rid of the large drop shadows on the images. That tends to be an unprofessional look. With that said, I kinda like the layout of everything - the graphics just need to be improved. |

![]() | Well I have some bad comments, please don't take them seriously. The background is a bit too messed. It doesn't really fit the actual layout. The colour stays the same throughout the page? (cyan blue) The boxes (round edged) for contents look like as if they were for kids. But then I think the key to it is the border, I think it's too thick. The nav-bar's links are waayyy too big, looks a bit "weird". ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=130339 I'm sure you coulda done a wayy better job with the logo ![]() Most of the borders (logo, content boxes, etc.) are too thick as blacks. You can improve it drastically. Good luck! |
