| Executive Admin Administrator | I agree with the others, it really is plain. If you are pleased with the basic layout then I would suggest that you add a colored background, maybe a shade of blue since you have some already there, and possibly define your header. I think it contains helpful information!! |

| NamePros Member | If you want to keep it simple, make it look corporate. Programmers l-o-v-e the simplistic look. That is a 750px x 90px high banner; a white background with border or contrasting background/page colors; some gray borders around the style blocks for the sidebars (usually dotted), and just do with a simple banner top, and a good serif style font in a dark gray color (which is easier on the eyes than black).Sometimes adding too much takes away from the content, it drowns the text. The busiest sites don't have that many graphics, because content and speed is king (nevermind they don't want to pay the bandwidth bill). Just some suggestions. CKL Edit: typo |

| NamePros Member | ComDriver: how about taking a look at the Huffington Post.com banner/logo/layout? If you want the site to be without the fluff, that's a good example of mostly content. The banner/text logo just doesn't hack it. It's missing organization and purpose (what is it portraying? What does it say about the website? What does it command to make it stand out from the rest?). If you like that two color style, goto Wal-Mart or a bookstore and browse the pages of the Sky & Telescope magazine. Their columnist names in the articles use a similiar design, but it's alittle different (aligned and focused, with just a little flair). The color scheme is Sand/red with a white inner 1px box that surrounds the title/name. No frills and light, just enough color to keep the eye busy (and totally done in CSS). CKL
