| Account Closed | I'm getting sick of the 'omg111 you hax p2l color111' - My color scheme is based on the colors that most Tutorials sites have, yes i agree with you there but 'copied'? mm no thanks. Firstly.. you cannot copy ones colors.. as its not 'theres' in the first place, anyhow if you actually looked at the shades of green, blue, (YELLOW) you would come to realize there are not same. Perhaps your monitor needs a clean? Want me to post a few dozen links that Pixel2Life 'stole' the colour scheme green and blue? Now if you can just grow up for two seconds and tell me what I've copied.. i would much appreciate it. Overall i rate your c&c a zero.. it sucked! now heres a banana don't eat it all at once. | NamePros Member | Color schemes aren't patented, so anyone can literally swipe that. That said, the site needs some elbow grease, and one to start with is the fonts. Where the money is, the eyes aren't as sharp. I'm nearly 40 myself, and the days I can read fine print are pretty much gone, and that goes for that demographic of middle aged folks with the capital to spend (to make the Google ads work, as the starving art student is going to be cash strapped). There's a lot of males out there, but honey, a woman with a credit card and a fashion/design site is a sellout. ![]() It's nice to see something more than blue and orange, but blue and green blurs too well together (good for aquariums, but for a Photoshop site??). Such a site needs to be b-o-l-d. Take a spin to what's now called cgsociety.org for some ideas about making a bold, exciting and a truly artistic impression (plenty of examples and ideas floating there to get the juices flowing). One thing to learn in art and design: don't go with the status quo. It's easier and folks are accustomed to certain elements and wow effects, but as soon as the gimmicks wear off, the site is dated (and your customer isn't feeling happy for what they paid for, which translates with some negativity not only to your work, the rest of the wed dev profession). Find a color scheme and theme that sets your site apart from pack, because in theis ME, ME, ME world sites have to distinguish themselves from the millions of other sites.Theme and variation is a key to a successful site.
