New Blog Site: Please Review

I have just completed the initial design of my first blog site. This is a cell phone reviews site. I would be interested in hearing any comments or suggestions on improving this site.

Yeah I gotta agree with him on that - but, just change the images that span across the top and you should be golden

I don't care for it. First off you have that lime green background with the black top. Then on top of it you have pictures of nature? We are reviewing phones if I am not mistaken. The layout and the background are 100% irrelevant and non-professional.

I think it's very professional and would look great if you just change the images on the top.

With the images at the top, it create a whole "nature" feeling for the site. I am not a big fan of the big black bar behind the header.

Overall the site has a great layout and is not too cluttered etc. Just change those beautiful nature pictures to something more techy and your site will be great!!

You did a lot of work and it shows. Good Job.

Thanks for all of the feedback. So far it seems that no one likes the nature images. My origional idea was to give the site a pleasant look.

What does everyone think I should place on the top? More phones?

I wouldn't put phones, I would use images of people talking on phones, maybe phone towers, similar to the pictures you have throughout the site.

Those 4 images in the header seem like they have nothing to do with cell phones?

Yes, I agree, more phones might make people think those are the only phones you review.

I like the site, but like everyone else, I think the lime green needs to be toned down. I have a very bad sense of color, but I know I don't like the lime.

I like the images of the phones in your blog entries. Do you make those or are you getting those from somewhere?

As with most blogs, content is king. As long as the text is readable and worth reading, people will come.

Is there anyplace one the internet that I can find nice photos to use for this site?

There have been several comments on the lime. Are you speaking of the background lime or the light green colors on the main screen?

If this is the background lime in question, what colors would anyone suggest?

Nice looking site, only thing is I would divide it into pages. Most people hate to scroll, myself included. Other then that it looks great. Good luck with it.

If you could make a banner for it, it would look even better.

I dont think you should have all your ads below "the fold" not everybody who is surfing will scroll down and that means that you have ads sitting there that a lot of people will not see. Try to get them above the fold.

very nice, love the colours, they go together nicely, the things you could improve are,

Make the white box go fully down to the bottom, and at the bottom of the page, in the white box, add a table and put the following text in,
