| DNOA Certified Seller | Please Review: TopPixels.com - Topsite for Pixel-Based Advertising Sites http://www.toppixels.com/ Here's what I believe needs some work:
As far as the text only version goes, that won't be too hard, but I'll have to duplicate the template I have now and I want to make sure it's perfect before I start having to modify two different templates. I thought this was going to be a unique idea, but I recently found one topsite and one directory listing these types of sites. The other topsite didn't use my cool alexa preview and it was full of huge banners. The directory was much cleaner, but wasn't a topsite. I think I can make this happen, so please critique the heck out of it so I can make it look nice. If you have a second, a couple of signups and tests would be nice. ![]() Thank you for your time, Jorge

| DNOA Certified Seller | I wanted a background image that looked like the mdhp sites. I'll try toning it down a little, so it's a little more subtle. As far as the color scheme, it's just white with black text...how does that hurt your eyes (I'm not being defensive, I'm just wonderin )I have a description of the site in the FAQ...maybe I should change the menu to say About/Rules ? Thanks for your comments. Update: BG image fixed. Didn't realize on the pixel level it had some different colors that were making it look blurry. Looks better now imo.

I was trying to add a splash of color to an otherwise drab page. Any sugestions on a color that will do the trick but not "stick out"?

| Executive Admin Administrator | I like that you have come up with something to do with all of these "knock offs" Good idea. You are right the page does need color. It looks pretty boring. The least you could do would be to change the font for the logo to be a little more flashy. I would also change the background to maybe something with color and texture to it. That would help a lot with the lack of color and the plain view of the site. Will be great when all done!! Again good idea!! |

| DNOA Certified Seller | ok...I'm thinking of changing the template altogether, since I'm having trouble with the aqua menu bar...go to the style selector menu at the bottom and select "Classic". It has some table problems now because of the alexa preview needing another column and not yet having one, but do you like those colors? I think they look more "moneyish". I would replace that weird logo of course. edit: ok, nm. I decided just to go with a black bar on top, and a black/grey theme throughout. The aqua was just too much. I'm going to try the whole "content is better than color" way of web design, and just focus on getting all of the sites to link to me. Thanks for all of your help, expect a "NP$ incentive for comments" in the near future!

| DNOA Certified Seller | ok, I changed a couple of small things (like large thumbnails on the site details pages. I also added adsense into the toplist last night and if things keep going like they did today, the regfee will be paid for by tomorrow. The problem I have to come through now is getting the adsense background to turn white on page 2,3,4,etc of the results. I also need to make the menu bar more compatible with browsers other than ff http://www.toppixels.com

| DNOA Certified Seller | Thanks for the comment troubled. I'm trying not to take any attention away from my member's sites, especially their thumbnails. Aren't they the first thing you look at?

| DNOA Certified Seller | I am thinking about adding a bunch more categories, breaking it down a little more than under or over $25. What do you think? 1 cent...5 cent..10 cent..25 cent..63 cents..?

| DNOA Certified Seller | I really need to work on how the "div's" look in different browsers. In FF, the white boxes float over the black. In IE and OPERA, they are contained in the black. And in opera, they enlarge when you mouseover and stay there when you mouseout. Trying to focus on getting traffic there now. Thanks for the comment!

| DNOA Certified Seller | changed the "logo" Also changed the site details a bit. It's making about 2-3 dollars a day with adsense, so I'll be buying a ton of advertising soon. Traffic is growing daily. I've gone from 800k to just under 300k on alexa in the last couple of days. -Jorge

| Senior Member | i like the design, its simple but looks good, also the google ads i think are in good spots, the top section, with the black background sticks out a bit to much, good job with the site, and i had no idea that there were that many pixel sites out there |
