![]() | My Website of Available Domains please review Hello, I have recently made a website, www.webthink.co.uk, where I add available .com and .co.uk domains frequently (pretty much every day). I try to make it more interesting than a list of available domains by adding a small suggestion for a website that might suite the domain. I look forward to hearing your opinions on the design and content. I anticipate that the question of centering everything might come up, and I'd like to say in advance that I am working on that- it's quite difficult because of the way I used CSS. Anyway thanks in advance for any replies.

![]() | Hi It's great to see you are using XHTML strict Doctype! Just a few validation errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...think.co.uk%2F I think you need a larger welcome paragraph on the main page so people get the gist of what your website is about. I would also consider adding quick to understand pictures (or diagrams) on the main page. This paragraph should be at the fore of the main page and in larger writing so people can immediately read it. The header I recommend should not be "Links". Perhaps "Welcome" or somesuch. The search funtion doesn't seem to work that well. I tried asd in the search and it didn't display an "There were no results" type message and the box scrolled. Worth a look. It's a very sharp website - which is good, but a little hard to look at for sustained periods of time. You could add a dollar sign or a shopping basket sign (or even better the currency of the user's location) sign next to the "Buy this domain" and make it larger. The Buy this Domain should not go to a search! You are trying to make this as easy as possible. It would be good if they were taken to a checkout and could just buy the domain. Otherwise you might consider changing "Buy thie domain" to "Search this domain". You should consider having an about page and a 404 error page (when a page which is requested is not there)? Check out alistapart.com for some good tutorials. What is the point of the previous and next links if the catalog is random? The date could have a prefix like "added" so it would be "added x" where x is the date. A "home" link would be good and making the logo a link. The logo and the subtext I think needs to have a break between them. I like your website idea. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I got to agree, the green background is very distracting and hurts to look at. I love the idea though.

![]() | Yes the bright green is working against you, especialy with the brown/tan center, try switching to something less intense, perhaps along the same scheme as your browns and tans, perhaps a light yellow. This would also apply to the green gradient border for your title to make them match.

![]() | Ok, thank you all for your reviews and contributions. I feel I have taken your comments in and have come out with this tweaked design- WebThink Available Domain Names and Website Ideas. I think this is much improved. What do you think?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I like the idea but the overall layout is preety much downwards. Use little lighter color and combinations. Make the site little more informative like introduction and site purpose. But i really like your idea.

![]() | The last few comments have simply said that the layout is bad. I wonder why it is bad and how, you think, I can improve it. I prefer opinions to suggestions over opinions with no suggestions at all.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Not enough domain names shown at once, imho. People looking for available names want to be able to sort and search through big lists easily. Maybe at least seperate them by category. nice idea.

![]() | I have fixed this problem by creating a new page: [View all at once], and I also got rid of any "extra information" box by making the homepage a welcome page, instead of simply showing the first available domain. I feel it looks much better organised now and the layout has improved.

![]() | I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by the mainpage "seems a bit small". Do I need to explain the site more? [seems that what is there is all that is needed] Should I make the template larger? [why make it larger when it needn't be?] ??
