New site, please rate

Hi, i just started up a new site, its still under construction, but im getting along quite well, i just thought i would ask you what you think of it, anyways, heres the link: www.ellisdesigns.co.uk (im getting a new domain soon) the site is basically a place to amuse yourself, here a couple of ideas that i am going to develop Free Ringtones, Videos, Pics, Games, Search Engine, Links Directory and Jokes. But if you have any other ideas for me just reply here.

too much blue for me, makes it look flat...NO PUN INTENDED!

Also there is a mis-spell.

In the header Flatape.com looks good but the words on either side are very hard to read, suggest changing the font. The whole thing does look very plain, maybe add some texture to the background or something.

Overall it looks like you have put a lot of work into this site. I wish you the very best of luck with it!!

I don't think you're done with it. Too much blue as mentioned and literally no graphics. I personally need some eye-catching graphics for a site to get my attention.

need some cloud cover for some of that blue, maybe some grey tones? definately needs some graphics aswell, but not all bad, nice and clean, good base for something more solid, keep it up =)

Not bad.... nice and simple design, maybe the tone of blue..which is kinda purplish, could be changed a bit. However, if the main point is to convey information to the audience, then it does that very well.

- The text is too small.
- The ads stand out more than the actual site.
- The headings on each page take up too much space.
- Eveything looks too ordinary and basic.

i like the basic ness, it means fast loading and simple to use.

but, it is a little too basic, and i think the headers are too big (maybe 3/4 that size at the largest would be better)

Your template is based 100% on tables. Spice it up with more images and design.
