Theres not a rite lot to build on there really! perhaps some 'stylish' neon blue lighting been emitted from that shape in the top left for starters? perhaps bring some futuristic elements into it?-semi mechanical theme or something thats wot that thing shouts to me at first glance - gears-pistons etc
purples not my colour but at least its dark enuf to put white text on.

I like the arrow on the side by the menu and the circle at the top with the checkerboarding. I am not so sure about the rectangle at the top detracts from the circle part, they do not flow together. Maybe slide the rectangle over so it is coming off the side of the circle?? Love the color!!

Add another color in there somewhere to show a little "pop". Yellow is the complimentary color of purple . . . so that would really stand out as a little outline or subtle flare.
