Top-Download.net completely new version

A while ago it used to avarage above 3500 uniques per day. Lately mainly because of a lack of time on my behalf it dropped to 500 uniques.

So i decided it was time to revitalize top-download.net with a new look new content and new promotion.

But before i get into the promotion part i would like your opinion about the website and make some final adjustments.

Its ok. I don't like the font used, use arial or tahoma maybe. I also feel its maybe a bit too on the simple side, and the gray bar on the side awkwardly distracts from the main site content. Also the header seems to be beveled, this should be taken off immediately!

I hate that bevel effect!

Apart from that, its ok really!

to be honest i really dont like the design at all, to dark, bad use of fonts and colours, and the header doesnt really fit in with the rest of the site.

I don't like the whole design itself, just nothing fits in my eyes. Best of luck with the revap and advertising.

Hi

Your site has a good header that makes good use of fades and colours. The photography is quite nice. Perhaps the text in the header could be a little different and not repeated below. Make it a little larger with perhaps an outline.

The navigation looks nice with the orange on the left taken from the header. Try and make the font consistent - the navigation has a different font to the links "Login - Register".

The box on the left has space at the top - which seems unnecessary try aligning that to the top.

Perhaps you could have a welcome paragraph at the top on the main page. For search engine optimisation you could add some more in your META... like a description. You are not using valid html: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...ownload.net%2F and you have lots of CSS errors http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer

The word "tops" in your navigation has an ambiguous meaning - try to be quite blatant as to what link is for. In this case - the word "tops" seems to mean "demos"

Umm, firstly, try and improve a bit on the English.
Secondly, change the font and header so it fits in with the rest of the site.
Thirdly, put a little bit of an introduction on the homepage to explain what the site is about

Other than that, there's a lot of potential for a brilliant site.

doesnt look bad, but why dont you try a clean layout? get more downloads and not only demos most people will download the demos on the official website.

Try and get more news items... add more content.
I've seen some of the ugliest layouts with huge amount of visitors, so I guess you should concentrate on the content.

Hey,

Doesn't look that bad. I like the image in the header, looks really neat an also the image in the right content area. However the choice of colors are not so good, color scheme is a little too dark, menu needs some improvement.
