I would like comments on this site, but not the usual kind about the perfection (or non-perfection) or the layout or whatever, but about the effectiveness of the marketing. This is an updated version of this site (the first was pretty bad). I'm trying to squeeze this site into my spare time so I'm not really focused on perfection, just trying to grab customers.

TBH I think it's simple and effective. Perhaps though you could change the background, I'm not diggin' the plain white on it, maybe you could use a background that is still white, but has faint lines running through it that forms a pattern or something? Just an idea I guess. Otherwise I like it!

It would be OK if you keep it how it is... I prefer simple and clean designs that are easy to navigate.

But do you think it is professional ENOUGH looking to inspire visitors to sign up? Does it evoke a feeling of confidence and fun? Do the little "Player's Choice" symbols add (maybe subliminally) some credibility?

That's the kind of stuff I'm wondering.

Hey,

Looks kinda good but a little too green I would say. Color scheme needs a little revision. Also the text on the menu needs a little tweaking. Also, I would add a nice background to it to make it look a little better - seams kinda plain right now.

Its well, green but i think it does suit the site to an extent i personnally would change it myself but its not bad.

It looks professional enough to me.Sorry, but to be honest i dont think the players choice buttons do anything to make it more professional. It still looks it though.

As for the attractiveness and trying to pull people in without commenting on the layout it is great! I really think that it is catchy. You have the small button ads in the correct place and the content is layed out great. For a spare project you really are doing a good job!

Thanks for the comments. Like I said, I'm not going for perfection, just effective. The site will be marketed to alot of people who are not necessarily web savy, so it's not like they will be critiquing my design.

I've recently found out one important thing about IE...it doesn't always recognize abbreviated color codes (#fff) like Firefox does. You have to use the full 6 digits.

Your main graphic is quite low, only about an inch can be seen above the fold. I'd advise moving it up under the green header. As they say a picture says a thousand words, and those are words you won't have to say and people may respond to.

nice, but the links on the left coul possibly do with standing out more, and the navigation at the top could alsobenefit from people being able to see "ah THATS what i click" if you get me
