Nice simple and clean design. But the colors you’re using for the Google ad (the green in particular) don’t match the page at all.
Also when I first entered your site the title of your page (you know the <title>PageName</title>) was showing the php code. Now it seems to be working fine, maybe it was just a fluke?

The design is nice but the important part of a webpage is the content and normally I don't comment on this part but I like to scour the internet reading tutorials and such (being a self-taught amateur designer).

There are a lot of tutorial sites out there so I imagine it is tough to get this type of site going. So you'll need all the edge you can get.

So now to the point I started to read your tutorial and as soon as I read the page titled "Writing HTML" I thought isn't this suppose to be a tutorial for absolute beginners? You just mention the basic structure of an html page. Didn't see an "all pages should have a <title></title> tag" or "be sure to close tags if you don't what unexpected errors"...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/108418-htmlintro-com.html

When I see the term "absolute beginners" I think about people who know nothing about a subject and need to be spoon feed stuff slowly. You probably want to keep things short and simple but I can imagine all, the question your readers are going to have after reading this.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Maybe put a border around it or spice it up with graphics/logos. The site just seems kind of boring. If I was to visit it once I don't think I would return because there is nothing eye appealing that will make me come back.

Code:

I would probably put the code inside of a code box
to make it stick out better.
Also, maybe get a script that converts the code to
color coded, um, code, just to make it pop.

Other than that, nice clean site.

I like the site except it is a little to white and boring. There is a lot of text and not much eye grabbing items. I go to the site and I think, "nice logo and great potential...but my eyes are going crazy at all this text". If you add some other colors and some catchy photos, then I think it will be money. Keep up the good work.
