Don't Fall For This!!!

I don't know if this is the correct forum to place this in or not, but I think everyone that is interested in web development and such should check this out. I was a personal victim of this guy, so I know how he works. Feel free to read some of the stories... Go to www.williamfranklinfraud.com and let me know what you think I should do about this guy scamming me out of almost $1000, or there is anything I can do...

You should report him to the authorities as soon as possible and also let all web design forums know about this guy.

I completely agree. I especially like where he scammed a childrens hospital as well as a guy looking for his mother! My stories are under "Jeff", but they're not near as good as the other ones. You can check out all of his aliases, so if someone runs into him in the future, they can post it here and I'll see it so I can do the same to him...

I thought about calling some loacal news companies to do some stories on him and draw him out of hiding. I don't want to see other people get scammed out of money. And when it starts involving "under-privileged" children, that really uh... "erks" me.

Next gen internet, is what we need. Something to keep people like this away. Or the FBI to branch off into a huge place who we can contact 24/7/365 about people who we have questions on, or are suspicious, or to take action against someone. Wow, will scammers ever grow up?

Hmmm... I don't think they will ever grow up. And I don't think the FBI would do that. At least not for awhile. I spoke with a couple of lawyers, and I got the same response from the FBI in Rochester,NY. "We don't have time to deal with petty theft such as this. Our focus is on the multi-million dollar frauds". Seems like everyone is kinda leaving out the little guys.

I am listed on that thread with the same screen name I use here. Like I said in the first post, you can go to www.williamfranklinfraud.com and read numerous stories as well as all of his aliases. My story is under the "Tales of Fraud" section, under the name Jeff. But if you read some of the newer ones, you can see that this guy has gotten much worse. He even went as far as posting some threads saying that he was going to drain my bank account and said my site "looked like someone vomited on the web, and the result was my site". Funny thing is, he had originally been the one who put it up there... Anyways... The guy is pretty much scamming everyone left and right by a number of different names and companies... Thanks for all of the support...
