shouldbe simple...

I think this is a simple question...

I'm attempting to design my first xhtml transitional document, and I can't figure out how to specify the (various) color(s) of horizontal lines. For instance,

<hr size="3" color="black"/>

Other than that it validates. Someone give me a clue? Sure appreciate it!

Umm... How with multiple sizes and colors? I have full-width size 3 black, 75% size 1 maroon, and 50% size 1 maroon.

Yeah, just use different combonations of the <HR> code, with the extra bits of the style code.

"size" isn't a standard CSS property. You probably want "height" instead, and that would probably be in px. For example:

Code:
<hr style="width: 75%; color: maroon; height: 3px;">

I got it! Thankyou very much! I used a variation on Nanobot's code. it doesn't seem very...conventional? but it works, and it validates! So now to bed. Thanks again.
