Importing Website

Hey all... hopefully you can help me out! I'm working on creating an online portfolio for a collegue. I'm using a service called Efolio which is a website that helps you create portfolios and gives you free space... if you're a Minnesotan.

I've got the site all created, but she wants a hard copy of it on disk. Is it possible to import a website off the internet using Front Page or Dreamweaver?

Thanks,
Bill

You could certainly do it using FP or DW, but it may be simpler to user a tool such as Grab-A-Site:

The same company also offers a similar tool called Web Whacker. These are pretty mature (around for years) software tools that we have used in the past...

There are others, but I like the 2 mentioned above.

The only way I can see this being done via Front Page is going to view >> source in Internet explorer and using copy paste to move the source code to front page where you can save it as an html document. This of course is the "free" and "simple" way. I am sure there is software out there like RTM has posted.

In the case of FrontPage (2003) you would create a new site, and import it using HTTP. The level of success and quality of the downloaded site pages will vary depending on the complexity of the source code of the target site....

I'm not sure what a Cpanel is, but I found some nice free software to import webpages to your hard drive. The problem I was having was I was using the web creation software on efolio.com so I never really got to see the source code and a lot of the images were already stored somewhere on their server.

The good software I found was on downloads.com. It's called HTTrack Website Copier 3.32-2.

Thanks all for your input!
