![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you have hosting? and also, learn only light html, dont use dreamwaver, if you have windows, you have the best program, notepad, learn html without using editors, and when you learnt a little html, you should go straight to php, php is a powerful easy to learn language, and its FREE!!! |

![]() | try having a look around here first http://www.php.net/ and personally I would advise you to get a book as a reference to have it at hand while you work.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I learnt using frontpage. I did things like inserting a form, and then going onto the HTML bit and seeing what it said. There was a kid at my school who, when I was in yr 7, knew loads of HTML and javascript, and used to sit there in the computer room and code it all. He taught me a bit of stuff.. www.webmonkey.com is a great place. It is really helpful, and [sometimes] patronisingly easy! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | another good thing that I did was: 1. goto www.hotscripts.com or other such site 2. download a php script 3. look at the source code 4. work out how it is done (its relatively simple - if you get phpbb and do it they put in helpful comments) 5. try to write your own such script worked for me |

![]() | I would suggest NOT using FP though, it is severely proprietary (like everything MS). It creates those horrid vti folders that make a duplicate of your site...something used with the FP extensions but once you set it up that way you MUST use FP to edit it later. Anyway, if you want to use a WYSIWYG go Dreamweaver, it's hard at first but people go great work with that one....and it's very respectable in the marketplace. For graphics, go Photoshop.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i had them folders on my hosting, all my cpanel hosting has well had them, i just selected them and deleted them, i dont use microsoft software unless required, my laptops on linux, and the wireless seems to work, so im going to linux soon yippe, but frontpage i heard optimizes for that thing called internet exploder, i would reccomend deleting the IE reg keys, and uninstalling any MS software except windows, use open source or cheap software, thats a better idea |

![]() | To keep cost down, you can use Adobe Photoshop Elements, and Dreamweaver. FOR FREE, you can use Crimson Editor, which allows you to hand code similar to notepad, but it color codes everything for you. After a while, you will realize that you've missed a code or what not because of the colors. For basic tutorials, you can use W3Schools And, if you're a student, always keep in mind Academic Superstore. I am no way affiliated with the, I was just turned onto them from my school and it's AWESOME!! Hope that helps. |
