Where to start

I'm about to start a new website, I already have the contents, in part, so next on my list is the frontend and the backend.

I want the site to be completly automated, and based around posts stored in a database, with some apache tricks to make the pages seem static.

Where do I start, the frontend (Photoshop, Dreamweaver) or the backend (PHP, MySQL).

Where you start is up to you. Personally i always start with the backend elements and get everything working, then move on to displaying that data.
