Internet Explorer Blocks

I new to this forum and a novice site builder - I volunteer my time to a couple of local non-profit organizations. I am building a new site for a small concert association. I want to control the opening of some windows (size and menus) and am using a small script in Dreamweaver to do that. I also want to insert a Quicktime movie. However, when I do either or both, IE blocks the content, and while it is easy to unblock, it is an annoyance. I have seen many sites that seem to manage these tasks without the blocks. What am I doing wrong?
Cheers
Doug

heres a question, have you just been testing it on your local computer without a webserver through static .html pages? if so that is the problem, it won't block it once its live on the internet, or webserver. Its because it is calling local files, thats why it is blockign it

Regards
Brian

Thanx, Brian!
I'm testing it locally to be sure. Will hide it on the site and test there to see what is the poop. The script is a simple Java script.
Cheers
