Looking for advise

So, i'm no developer. Infact I know as much about the terms of website building as my 8 year old son.

I am looking for someone to answer probably around 15 Q's of mine in regards to websites and design. I will pay you for the help too. Silly questions like what is a flash template verus normal template and where can I look at a site that has flash. I could spend 2 days trawling the net to find all the answers, but I really just need a pro to quickly help me out.

Once I understand the basics it will help me in spending time building some proper websites.

Shane mac

You have the incorrect idea about websites. Most websites are not build with flash. They are build with html and css.

If you want I can give you instructions that will gradually improve your skills. You will need a hosting account so you can upload your files and we can check them. Of course advice is free. After all, this is a community forum.

Flash templates are used to create sophisticated animation /effects on a page. If you want to see an example most auto manufacturers sites have a lot of Flash (ex. audi is mostly flash, bmw has a flash effect at the top). It's great for a "brochure" sites like that, but not so practical for most sites - search engines index flash to some extent but not as effectively as they do non-flash sites. This is a problem because they may not be able to identify and index all of your content.

You're probably better off using a simple (x)html template.

15 questions isn't that many - if you ask here in the forum, I'm sure you'll get some good answers for free .

As above members said..

Most of websites are build with html/css.. if you want to work with flash.. (though its had disadvantages like search engine will not properly index your site) .. but if you want to build a site with flash, then you need to learn adobe flash software. you can also find free flash template.. just google it and you will find tons of free websites.. also you can buy a professional flash template.. most of them come with normal html/css package too.. so in case if you don't want to make a flash website then you can choose basic template.

if any other question.. just post and you will get free answers here from community members. ^^
